Yindjibarndi Nation Ltd (YNL) was established in late 2022 by the two native title representative bodies to develop project delivery capacity for the community.

The Position:
Based at the Roebourne corporate office and reporting to the Group CEO and Board, you will have a remit to deliver significant community impact.
Your core duties will include:
Assist the Group CEO to develop and meet the strategic and business goals; Management of the day-to-day operations of YNL; Ensure the preservation and advancement of the members' culture and heritage and embed this into best practice systems; Provide direction and visible leadership in order to maximise the realisation of the members' vision, values and strategic goals; Lead a team of professional managers and staff; Ensure compliance with the range of native title, statutory, legal, financial and contractual obligations; Provide advice to the Board of Directors on strategic positioning, governance best practice and economic development opportunities; Manage the complex relationships with the resources companies that operate on Yindjibarndi country as well as a wide range of other community, governmental and commercial stakeholders.
About You:
YNL are seeking a leader who has prior experience at an executive or general management level as well as possessing the core skills required to ensure success.
These in particular will be:
Leadership and mentoring; Change management; Community and stakeholder engagement; High-level communication skills; Financial and business management; An outcomes focussed approach.
You will also bring a very good understanding of working with indigenous communities or in a cross-cultural context.
Intending applicants should be aware that the position is to be residentially based in either Karratha or Roebourne.
This position is not considered to be fly in fly out as the COO will need to have the ability to embed themselves in, and gain the trust of, the Yindjibarndi people.
A highly competitive remuneration package, including relocation, housing allowance and motor vehicle, reflective of the senior nature of this role and its Pilbara location will be negotiated.
