Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
to join its executive team and champion safety and quality in healthcare across a diverse network of campuses, with the main hub in Shepparton.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the CMO will provide professional leadership for GV Health's medical workforce. Key responsibilities include:
Clinical Governance : Overseeing credentialing, scope of practice, and risk management processes.
Strategic Leadership : Collaborating with executive leaders to drive quality improvement and operational initiatives.
Medical Workforce Development : Guiding education, training, and recruitment for medical staff.
Regional Collaboration : Building partnerships with healthcare and educational institutions within the Hume Region.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be a
Registered Medical Practitioner
with postgraduate qualifications (e.g., FRACMA, MBA) and demonstrated experience in healthcare leadership, particularly within clinical governance and service delivery. Key skills include:
Medical workforce leadership and development.
Strong understanding of clinical service planning and policy development.
Proven track record in leading accreditation and quality improvement processes.
Exceptional people management and cultural change leadership.
Ability to collaborate and build partnerships across disciplines and sectors.
