DoJ provides essential services in areas including legal representation, court services, regulatory and consumer protection services, reducing the risk of harm from liquor and gambling, supporting business, community and not-for-profit organisations.
The department is responsible for administering justice in Queensland.The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services branch is one of the enabling areas that position DoJ to strengthen the legal system, protect rights, and foster a fair and equitable society.Reporting to the Assistant Director-General - Corporate Services, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead the development of DoJ's ICT strategic plans and policies, which will include assessing the feasibility of change and understanding its potential impact on the Department.
You will provide vision, leadership, and governance across ICT, digital, cybersecurity, and information management strategies, ensuring they are all aligned with organisational goals.You will foster a culture of leadership, innovation, and accountability within the ICT landscape and promote customer service and performance.
Building strong relationships with stakeholders and strategic suppliers will be key, as will addressing business needs and ensuring a client-focused, collaborative approach to digital solutions.You will also lead the development and ongoing maintenance of ICT architecture and design standards across all systems and oversee major ICT projects, manage the ICT asset replacement program, and provide strategic direction to enterprise planning, optimising ICT investments and ensuring the delivery of value to the department.To be successful in this role, you will bring proven strategic leadership and management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead change and drive innovation within complex environments.
