Job location: Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team to support our growing services. Our Directorates include Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations and our Community Directorate with highly skilled disciplines including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychologists and Social Work. We have an outstanding L&D and discipline Educator co-hort that continually upskill our already skilled and supportive team.
About the Role: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the executive management team. As a key member of the Executive, this position requires active participation in leadership activities across the organisation through ethical behaviour and a demonstrated commitment to the organisational values, the Forensicare Strategic Plan 2018-2019 and the annual Statement of Priorities.
The CFO is responsible for all financial and business services across Forensicare's operations. The primary objectives of the role are:
To ensure that Forensicare's financial and business operations are high performing, compliant and accountable, with well-developed business practices that support all activities of the organisation.To ensure the ongoing financial sustainability of the organisation in a challenging public sector funding environment.The role provides expert and strategic advice to the CEO, the Executive Management team and managers on financial, business and risk management. The CFO actively participates in leadership activities across the organisation and demonstrates commitment to our organisational values, the Strategic Plan, the Statement of Priorities, and the annual Operational Plan. The role also provides regular reports and advice to the Board to assist them to meet their obligations.
About You: Demonstrated experience at an executive level managing the financial and business services of a public and/or health sector entity.Demonstrated senior leadership capability with experience in managing a team of diverse professional disciplines.Sound knowledge and experience in business planning.Experience working with Boards or governance bodies.Ability to work as part of an Executive team and to actively participate in a range of corporate projects.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including high level negotiation skills.A person with high integrity who is able to communicate ideas and intentions in an open and honest manner.What you need: Relevant tertiary qualification in business/economics and must hold CPA and/or (other post-graduate qualifications are desirable).*Please Note - Applications will be reviewed and interviewed as they are received.
