Our client is a newly formed vertically, integrated Agribusiness, resulting from a series of strategic, acquisitions by its ASX Top 50 listed parent company. This newly formed Group seek to hire an accomplished, strategic CFO with the technical, commercial and leadership expertise to build high performing teams, implement innovative, scalable solutions and support them achieve future ambitions to become market leading.As an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will provide the MD, ELT, Operations and Investment managers with commercially focussed, value add advice and support. An initial challenge will be to assess the acquired finance teams, reporting, processes and systems currently in place, and then innovate, collaborate and use technology to build a first class robust, scalable function.Success also will require;An initial review of other processes, practices including commercial and operational procedures to then embark upon a program of automation and process improvement initiatives;Undertaking a detailed analysis of operations to mitigate financial and commercial risks and identify trends and future growth opportunities;Building collaborative relationships and quickly becoming the "trusted advisor", so operations feel well supported across all financial, commercial and investment related activities;Reviewing all reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and transactional activities and improving the timeliness and presentation of reporting and robustness of financial processes;Effective business partnering to identify key business drivers and then optimize profitability and manage costs;True leadership to inspire, mentor and build capability across FP&A, Financial Accounting, Corporate Reporting ( including Tax & Treasury), and Transaction Accounting teams;Managing a range of investment scenarios including financial modelling, due diligence, M&A, pricing, significant capital expenditure and other to ensure activities meet agreed corporate goals;Supporting the MD and Operations teams to map, model, assess current and future assets and ensure positive ROI across all investment opportunities;Innovating and using technology including ERP, BI and other automation tools to design " real time" reporting, performance metrics and dashboards for each business unit; andWorking professionally with all internal and external stakeholder groups including meeting ASX investor relations, statutory and other service level requirements.This is a significant CFO role, suited to an accomplished, energetic, commercially astute CA/CPA qualified professional. You must have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, significant analytical and technical ability and demonstrate success in leading similar complex, operationally focussed organisations.On a personal level, you are humble, collaborative and have a sense of humour.Prior FMCG / horticulture / agribusiness is not essential but advantageous.
