This pivotal role will support the CEO, the Board, and our broader leadership group in ensuring the financial sustainability of our organisation.As the CFO, you will lead the finance team and oversee the management of day-to-day financial activities, the overall accounting process, and financial reporting within Youth Futures.Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation delivers on all contractual and compliance obligations with funding bodies and other stakeholders including the ATO.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic financial advice and manage financial risks.Contribute to the development and execution of the organisation's financial strategy.Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to manage departmental budgets effectively.Manage the preparation of annual financial reports and audits.Enhance regular financial reporting to the Board, ensuring key metrics are communicated clearly.Implement and improve financial processes to maintain organisational health.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including ATO obligations.Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth.Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to optimise performance.Actively participate in the Senior Leadership Team to support organisational objectives.Minimum Requirements:University degree or post-graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.At least 5 years of experience as a CFO or in a senior financial management role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced skills in MS Office.Permanent Australian work rights with no restrictions.A current WWCC and Police Clearance would be required.Work Conditions:Fulltime or Parttime positionMonday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm or parttime hours as agreed (minimum 0.6 FTE)4 weeks Annual LeaveChristmas Bonus LeaveAttractive Salary Packaging Options AvailableFlexible Working Arrangements/ WFH AvailableAccess to our Employee Assistance ProgramThe base rate for this position depending on qualifications and experience is $180,000 - $200,000 per annum (pro rata for parttime applicants) plus superannuation.
