About the Role: As the Chief Financial & Information Officer, you will oversee successful operations of Council's Finance, IT, and Fleet divisions. Working closely with the CEO, Directors, and Council members to ensure seamless financial and technological delivery that are in line with organisational goals. This position will demonstrate leadership qualities including an ability to manage, motivate and develop a team in a cross-cultural environment. This is a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on the lives of residents in remote communities, while also advancing your career in a culturally significant and challenging environment. Your key responsibilities are: Manage and establish councils' financial performance through economic trends, productivity, and system enhancements. Create significant value through technology and ensuring business outcomes are aligned with organisational goals. Provide leadership to MRC's fleet services, through systematic and data-driven decision making for a safe and sustainable fleet. Collaborate with project managers and CEO to measure system and resource use and allocation. What we're looking for: You will ideally hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline that is CPA/CA or IPA qualified. You'll have demonstrated knowledge of complex financial reporting, budgeting, and experience with Annual Financial Statements. Experience of financial affairs in local government authority and awareness of socio-economic factors affecting aboriginal people.
