Chief Executive Officer Winton Shire Council | QLD Winton Shire Council is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through a critical period of renewal and transformation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on enhancing organisational effectiveness, accountability and community engagement.
Reporting to the Mayor and Councillors, the CEO will align Council operations with strategic priorities, ensure sound financial management and foster a high-performing, cohesive team culture.

Key Responsibilities: Align the Council's strategic planning and operations with community priorities.
Provide high-level advice and guidance to the Mayor and Councillors.
Maintain high-level communications with the Mayor and Councillors to ensure a collaborative and constructive working environment.
Oversee efficient Council operations, focusing on financial management and resource allocation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Cultivate a positive, high-performing organisational culture that aligns with the Council's values.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes: The ideal candidate will have experience leading a local government entity, with a strong emphasis on performance improvement and financial sustainability.
A proven track record in community and stakeholder engagement is essential, with a relevant degree qualification highly regarded.
Working and Living in the Region: Winton Shire Council, 177 kilometres northwest of Longreach in Queensland's outback, serves a community of about 1,200 residents who cherish their unique heritage and strong community ties.
