About the role: PHCCI is proud to be the largest Chamber of Commerce located in the resource-rich Pilbara region and the fastest-growing Chamber in Western Australia, offering four diverse co-working spaces across Port and South Hedland and Wedgefield.
We are seeking an ambitious, innovative and passionate Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join our team.
The CEO is responsible for the overall development, management and success of the Chamber through innovation and growth, support of the membership base, and engagement with Government, business, industry and the broader community to build the economic strength and vibrancy of the region.
In conjunction with the Board, the CEO will execute the Chamber's Strategic Plans, pursue new opportunities and continue to develop the vision of the organisation.
Skills & Experience To be considered for this unique role, we are looking for an exceptional leader with proven experience in business management, commercial and political acumen, and strong influencing and advocacy ability.
As the ideal candidate, you will meet the following selection criteria: Possess strong commercial acumen with practical experience in daily operational management, including the strategic development and effective management of human, financial, funding, and physical resources.
Demonstrated experience in managing and working as a team, specifically staff development with an emphasis on building cohesive, high-performing teams.
Strong skills and experience in strategy development and implementation.
Acute knowledge of the current business environment, future business direction, and the development of programs that promote the viability and success of business in the region.
Expertise in advocacy at the governmental level and driving positive outcomes for business and policy alignment.
Demonstrated experience in governance, risk management, managing change and working successfully with Boards.
A sound understanding of and demonstrated experience in liaison, negotiation and acquittal with funding organisations, government authorities or other stakeholders.
Previous business development and/or marketing experience along with a proven ability to cultivate new relationships and convert prospects to clients.
Exceptional communication abilities across written, verbal, interpersonal, and digital platforms.
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification or other relevant experience or qualifications.
Full "C" Class Driving License.
