Located centrally in the Parramatta CBD and the NSW Hunter Region, the Workers Health Centre (WHC) is a Non-for-Profit Organisation in business since 1976, building services and investing in the interests of injured workers and their families. We provide transparent, systematic injury management and return to work rehabilitation services for injured workers. The WHC is a proud affiliate of the Trade Union movement. Our Board encompasses Trade Union representatives from various blue- and white-collar Trade Unions across NSW.Role DescriptionReporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide onsite leadership to ensure operations, strategic and financial objectives, and funding requirements of the WHC are met in line with Board expectations.Key functions of the CEO position include:Building and maintaining a positive culture across the organisation.Developing and mentoring staff.Developing and implementing policy and procedures.Maintaining the financial viability of the organisation.Identifying potential sources of funding including grants.Providing appropriate reporting to meet grant-funding requirements.Research and development to enhance the success and credibility of the WHC.Day-to-day functions of the CEO include:Preparing meeting documents and executive level reporting.Meeting with and mentoring staff.Providing information, training, and instruction to staff.Preparing agendas and partaking in payroll functions.Liaising with account management and building management.Supplier management and website administration.Negotiating worker contracts.Providing general monthly reports.As the CEO, you will be required to learn and have an intimate understanding of the business and the WHC Service Delivery Model, undertaking activities in continuous improvement and quality management systems within the Centre.Stakeholder EngagementAs the CEO, you will develop working relationships with stakeholders, including:- Trade Unions and Unions NSW, by way of:Attending conferences and coordinating the provision of health checks.Liaising with trade unions for any growth potential.Encouraging unaffiliated unions to affiliate with the WHC.- Government departments, having regular reporting and compliance responsibilities with:SIRA;ICARE;ACNC;Western Sydney Local Health District.- Organisations concerned with Workers Compensation & Rehabilitation services, such as:Insurers/Claims Service Providers;Legal firms;Medical practitioners;ARPA.ExperienceA well-established and respected leader with strong communication, financial and business acumen, strong business ethics and integrity, and executive experience in managing a team is essential.
