The organisation was established in 1962 and is the largest employer of people with a disability in the greater Launceston area, with a dedicated and passionate workforce of close to 60 people. Position Overview The position of Chief Executive Officer is an exciting opportunity to lead a transformative organisation designed to enable people with disability to experience meaningful and rewarding work. As the public face of the organisation, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the management team to ensure the organisation is well placed to achieve and grow. The role will work closely with the Board in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and will design aligned operational business plans, while balancing people, culture, fiscal performance, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Raise the profile of the organisation.
Lead advocacy efforts.
Build enduring relationships with customers, members, stakeholders, and the community to enhance organisational sustainability.
Qualifications The successful candidate will be an innovative and empathetic leader with a strategic approach, supported by proven operational experience and business acumen. Highly developed collaboration and people skills and governance experience is also required. The ability to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture and to inspire and nurture a high performing management team is also required. An understanding of the care sector would be an advantage.
