About You
As a highly skilled Senior Planner/Scheduler, you bring over 7 years of experience developing and managing the project schedules for large, multi-disciplinary projects, ideally in the construction or mega-infrastructure sectors.
With extensive expertise in Primavera P6, Deltek Risk, and Acumen Fuse, you excel in project planning and scheduling.
Your ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and optimise timelines through advanced planning techniques ensures a strong alignment between schedules and budgets.
You also possess effective communication skills, enabling you to resolve scheduling conflicts and provide insightful project updates to senior stakeholders.
About The Role
As the Senior Planner/Scheduler for the Battery of the Nation you will provide leadership and mentorship to the planning function across major projects, including the Tarraleah and Cethana projects.
This role will be responsible for ensuring appropriately detailed project schedules are created, establishing baselines, and ensuring alignment between schedules and capital budgets, whilst providing consistency across the program from a work breakdown structure perspective.
This role will be custodian of the Integrated Master Schedule used by Management, ensuring alignment with underpinning project schedules.
You will oversee the development and application of consistent processes and standards for planning and scheduling while providing quality assurance and governance on contractor scheduling inputs and deliverables.
Your expertise in change management, schedule contingency, and risk analysis will be crucial in managing progress, identifying scheduling risks, and providing timely reporting on critical path activities.
You will work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication, identify & capture scope owners within the project schedules, and resolve scheduling issues.
Additionally, you will actively participate in schedule risk analysis, using tools like Primavera P6 and Deltek Risk, to support accurate progress reporting and earned value metrics for month-end reporting, both at a project and program level.
This role sits within the newly formed PMO and has the opportunity to frame and develop the systems, processes and tools required to help deliver the program of projects currently in train, whilst setting up Hydro Tasmania to deliver future major/mega capital projects as they are identified.
