Chief Economist Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Chief Economist to provide economic insights and commentary to various stakeholders and outlets.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver economic commentary and data insights through regular media engagements, including television, radio, podcasts, online platforms, and print.Serve as a speaker and panelist at industry conferences, requiring travel as needed.Present at customer events and participate in industry roundtables.Collaborate in planning media strategies and prepare monthly insights derived from Creditor Watch's Business Risk Index.Contribute to the monthly report highlighting Creditor Watch's data segments.Prepare commentary on key economic indicators such as the cash rate, CPI, labor force statistics, retail trade data, business sentiment, and consumer confidence.Deliver occasional presentations to executives and the sales team.Represent Creditor Watch at periodic Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) roundtables for industry economists.Terms of Engagement:Work commitment: 25 hours per month, with potential for additional hours as agreed upon with the CMO in advance.Travel for events is additional to the stipulated hours.As a Consultant, the Chief Economist may continue to engage with existing and new clients, provided they do not engage with direct competitors of Creditor Watch.Any potential new clients must be disclosed to Creditor Watch for approval before engagement.About Creditor Watch:Creditor Watch is a leading Australian data and technology company that provides businesses with access to unique data and innovative products.
