On behalf of The Pub Group in Tamworth NSW we are currently seeking qualified Chefs or Cooks on a full-time basis.The group operates The Pub, Southgate Inn, The Family Hotel and The Longyard Hotel.To be successful as part of this team you will have a strong team focus and be genuinely interested in leading and inspiring others to achieve. Energy, enthusiasm and strong work ethic is what we seek but most importantly we are looking for leaders. These are full-time roles offering a 38-hour working week with two days off each week.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Food preparation and cooking to order during service, private parties, and functionsPreparation, seasoning and cooking of all dishes in our restaurantAble to work pans, grills, fryers efficientlyChecking quality of raw materials and weighing ingredientsStaff training and mentoringMenu design, implementation and costing both food and labourManaging stock control and monitoring wastageStaff rostersHACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygieneSupplier liaisonEnsuring safe work practices with focus on workplace health and safetyFollow hygienic food handling practicesIt is essential that applicants possess either a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and must have at least 2 - 3 years experience in commercial kitchens post qualification. The salary range will be between $70,000 - $80,000 per year plus super depending on experience. All suitable applications will be responded to by Platinum Immigration in the first instance.
