Position: Chef
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaboratively design and plan menus while managing food and labour costs, and overseeing food supply orders to ensure a seamless kitchen operation.
• Uphold the highest standards of dish quality from initial preparation to final presentation, ensuring each plate meets our exacting standards.
• Engage in constructive discussions with the management team and staff regarding culinary processes and dish innovation, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance on cooking techniques and procedures to kitchen staff, fostering a learning environment.
• Take charge of the kitchen by preparing and cooking sophisticated dishes that showcase your mastery of Indian culinary arts.
• Champion kitchen hygiene and safety protocols, ensuring all practices comply with health regulations.
• Participate in the selection and training of new kitchen staff, helping to cultivate a skilled and cohesive team.
• Implement preservation techniques to maintain the integrity and flavour of ingredients.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum
Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chef, preferably with a background in Indian cuisine.
• An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant culinary field.
