Job description Drunk Elephant Bar & Bistro is a family friendly venue located in heart of Perth CBD.
We are looking for passionate and creative Chefs with previous experience to join our team.
The ideal candidates will have a love of food and the ability to work with a culturally diverse menu selection for our many loyal customers.
In addition, the right candidate will have the necessary experience and responsibility of managing the other cooking staff and will report directly to the Director or Manager.
This is a permanent full-time position with a 38-hour work week – timings may vary depending on shifts.
Job Description: · Preparing and cooking main meals, entrée and bread as per recipes provided.
· Working on new recipes to add dishes on restaurant menu.
· Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food- handling practices.
· Training apprentices and kitchen staff when required.
· Working with management for big events and follow managements instructions.
· Assisting restaurant management in catering when required.
· Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.
· Maintaining inventory and order restaurant supplies.
Key attributes for successful Candidates: · Trade qualifications as Chef.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or similar
· Minimum 2 years of experience as chef.
Good knowledge of Multi cuisine is required.
· High level of discipline and ability to follow detailed instructions.
· Professional and enthusiastic attitude.
· Excellent personal hygiene and presentation.
· Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
