Position – Chef The Trustee for the Churchview Unit Trust t/a Church Bar and Woodfired Pizza 1 Ribbon Gang Lane Bathurst NSW 2795 Salary - $70,000 - $80,000 Full-time Church Bar is a vibrant pizza and cocktail bar in the heart of Bathurst CBD. We offer traditional Italian pizzas stretched by hand and cooked in a woodfired pizza oven. Duties include: Planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and placing orders for food suppliesEngaging in food preparation and cooking that includes making pizza dough, creating toppings, and cooking pizzasMeasuring, mixing, and preparing ingredients, sauces, and seasonings Providing guidance and training to junior staff when necessary.Checking the quality of pizzas before serving them to guestsOverseeing food preparation to maintain consistently high standards.Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.Conducting inventory checks in the kitchen and placing supply orders as needed.Providing demonstrations of techniques and offering advice on cooking procedures. Monitoring and maintaining stock levelsCommunicating and enforcing hygiene standards.Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.Possibly handling freezing and preservation of foods.Summary of role requirement: One year of relevant work experience Certificate III/IV in Commercial CookeryExpected Start Date: 18/11/2024 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000 - $80,000
