Job Summary: We seek a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team in Glenelg, South Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cuisines, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating memorable dishes.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs Plan menus, roster staff, and order supplies Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, entrées, mains, and desserts Plan and prepare menus for functions Cook and present food to meet different dietary requirements Show techniques and provide guidance on cooking methods Follow and implement food safety procedures Monitor and supervise OH&S standards and procedures Recruit and manage kitchen staff Display strong leadership skills and effectively manage and communicate with a diverse team Manage time effectively during preparation and service periods Qualifications: Proven experience as a Chef Excellent record of kitchen management Credentials in health and safety training Culinary school diploma or degree in kitchen management or hospitality (desirable)
We offer a competitive salary of $73,500 - $75,000 per year plus Super.
