Chefs/Cooks (Hospitality & Tourism) Full time Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 per year + accommodation The team behind the award-winning Bedarra Island Resort has just launched the most spectacular mainland resort and restaurant/bar in Tropical North Queensland; The Elandra at Mission Beach.

Offering 20 boutique designer resort rooms, an amazing open-terrace tropical restaurant and bar, and one of the most spectacular pool decks in Australia, The Elandra offers a private tropical escape or spectacular event venue like no other.
We are now expanding our kitchen team and have an amazing opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join the group.
The Restaurant The restaurant and bar are the heart and soul of Elandra.
Offering mesmerizing ocean views from the newly renovated alfresco dining area, guests will experience true tropical dining with some of the most spectacular views on the east coast of Australia.
The menu concept is modern Australian using the freshest of local ingredients, cooked simply and presented spectacularly.
Seafood and Asian influences feature heavily, along with the abundant and amazing produce available locally.
The Role The Chef de Partie role supports the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef amongst a small team of kitchen professionals.
In addition to preparing quality cuisine, the role will provide the successful candidate with exposure to menu development, stock ordering, and skill development.
The position would suit someone who is passionate and motivated and wants to work amongst and learn from a small team of talented like-minded kitchen professionals.
Skills & Experience Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Commis Chef or CDP in a high-quality restaurant.
Expertise in all cooking techniques, flavours, and ingredients.
Skills in food presentation using traditional and modern cooking techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work in a small team environment.
Adaptable to change.
Able and willing to work shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
