Chef/Cook

The Gastevski Group, who own The Sovereign Arms, The Whale and Ale, The Cornerstone, The Lakelands, and The Landing in WA, are currently seeking Chefs or Cooks on a full-time basis.

These are full-time roles offering a 38-hour working week with two days off each week.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Food preparation and cooking to order during service, private parties, and functionsPreparation, seasoning, and cooking of all dishes in our restaurantAble to work pans, grills, fryers efficientlyChecking quality of raw materials and weighing ingredientsStaff training and mentoringMenu design, implementation, and costing both food and labourManaging stock control and monitoring wastageStaff rostersHACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygieneSupplier liaisonEnsuring safe work practices with a focus on workplace health and safetyFollowing hygienic food handling practicesIt is essential that applicants possess either a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and must have at least 2-3 years of experience in commercial kitchens post-qualification.
The salary range will be between $70,000 - $90,000 per year plus super, depending on experience and role.
