Perla Tacos is a Mexican Taqueria that was established in 2013 as a Food Truck selling tacos at Markets and events!
We are now in an established restaurant in Torquay for the past 6 years and also continue to run catering events.
We have a position available at Perla Tacos as a Chef/Experienced Cook, with management being highly desirable (but not necessary). The role will include the opportunity to work alongside experienced and talented chefs. You will receive on-the-job training and work within a team that prides itself on passion, which is the driving force of the business.
At Perla, we pride ourselves on the customer having a memorable experience whether it be for dine in or takeaway. We like to make everyone feel welcome. We utilise a staff model that is designed to make the most of your talents in the restaurant. We value learning and are constantly looking for new ways to do things and seeking new knowledge.
Currently, we are operating Tuesday – Saturday, serving lunch & dinner for dine in and takeaway service, with the likelihood of increased trade days over the summer period. The restaurant has a capacity for 40 patrons.
Key Selection Information
Full-time ongoing position on a 38 hour week
Experience in Mexican style of food is highly desirable but not necessary
Ability to follow and enforce strict Food Safety and Food Handling guidelines
Ensuring that adequate levels of stock, supplies, and consumables are available on hand
Assist the Head Chef in menu development and planning for weekly specials
