About us : At North Indian Cuisine, we create memories through recipes passed down over generations, providing an authentic dining experience.
Operating for over 25 years, we aim to serve delicious, quality meals through an extraordinary restaurant experience, creating long-term relationships with our customers.
We are seeking 2 highly skilled and experienced Chefs on a full-time basis.
In this role you will be required to adhere to all health and safety standards and be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen.
You will be responsible for preparing consistent, high quality food products as per menu and customer requests.
Qualifications & experience Possess a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience post-qualification (2 years preferred).
Capable of working independently without supervision.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities: Create diverse menus while monitoring costs and optimizing profitability.
Prepare and cook dishes to customer specifications, ensuring timely service.
Implement safety protocols and conduct training to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
Collaborate with management to design and introduce enticing weekly specials.
Accurately measure and prepare ingredients to maintain consistency in dishes.
Train new kitchen staff and supervise daily operations for efficiency and quality.
Help create staff schedules that meet operational needs.
Safely operate and maintain large-volume cooking equipment.
Ensure all food meets established quality and presentation standards.
Adhere to food safety regulations and train staff accordingly.
Regularly inspect inventory for freshness and manage stock effectively.
Create new recipes and focus on appealing presentations.
