To start on Monday 6th January and initially contracted until Friday, 4th April 2025.
Work Model:
Hybrid work model (3 office days for full-time, 2 office days for part-time) | $48 - $55 per hour + super.
About the Role Our client, a Local Government in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, is looking for a Senior OHS Advisor to join their OHS team. You will be working alongside a team of safety professionals and reporting into the Manager of Health Safety & Risk.
This role can either be full-time, Monday – Friday or the council would consider part-time (minimum of 3 days per week). The council offers hybrid work options, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert guidance and advice on OHS matters to managers and staff. Lead initiatives to prevent workplace injuries and manage safety risks effectively. Conduct audits, analyse OHS statistics, and drive compliance with legislative and organizational standards. Develop and deliver tailored OHS training programs to enhance workplace safety practices. Stay updated on legislative changes and industry best practices, ensuring their implementation within the organization. You will have the following: Significant experience in an OHS advisory role or similar. Comprehensive knowledge of OHS legislation, regulations, and best practices. Proven ability to manage OHS projects and implement safety management systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. A relevant qualification in OHS or Risk Management (minimum Diploma level). Benefits: Work within a supportive and collaborative local government environment.
