Join our growing Customer Interactions team as Chapter Lead - Data Science where you'll be responsible for bringing ING's advanced analytics capabilities and use cases to the next level.
Managing a local and global squad, our ideal candidate has a consulting background and can manage and stimulate the progression of data science bank-wide. You can run the daily stand-ups, review the backlog, manage and address any impediments, work with data flows or changes in technology, and have excellent stakeholder management skills to work across the business as required. You'll be adept at spotting opportunities and supporting the business with data science use cases.
You'll have a true flair for presentations and enjoy leading the preparation of packs for senior leaders and our executive team. You'll also act as the Australian representative for our international community, including our global data science AI community, and bring our local use cases to the global team for insights and discussion. Given data science is highly governed with data ethics, you'll be accountable for the responsible use of AI within ING Australia.
You'll support and attend with the Tribe Lead Customer Interactions governing forums like the model risk management committee.

What you'll do Stimulate and manage the development and adoption of ING's data science and machine learning consumption to improve business outcomes.Lead and support the team performing comprehensive advanced analytics to understand/solve business opportunities/issues and understand/optimise customers, their usage, and behaviour.Represent ING Australia on advanced analytics forums, workshops, or international projects with the global advanced analytics unit.Coach and mentor other members in the ING analytics community on more advanced analytical techniques.What we're looking for Bachelor's or Master's in Analytical disciplines (Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Studies).Experience with building and deploying statistical and machine learning models in a commercial environment.3-5 years of Data Science leadership management experience including remote team management.Experience in 'Big Data' platforms and data warehouse solutions.Experience in cloud-based environments – Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS.Extensive skills in using analytical tools such as Python, R, Hadoop, Spark, and SQL.Experience using tools such as Power BI and Tableau for data visualisation and insights.Minimum 3 years experience in practical AI building models validating testing.Minimum 10 years of business, database systems, and data analysis experience with at least 2 years in project management.Ideally, you will come from a consulting background with change management methodology.Knowledge of regulatory and commercial issues within financial services and financial services industry experience are highly regarded.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and research skills, with a strong attention to detail.What's in it for you?
