Retail Technology Delivery Chapter Area Lead
Seeking a Delivery Executive, highly experienced in both waterfall Program Management and new Ways of Working (agile) Product Management. Very strong senior stakeholder management, chapter leadership with a mindset on doing things differently.

Retail Technology is responsible for market leading technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank and Bankwest Retail - from product platforms for our customer, to essential tools within our business.
The Retail Technology Strategy, Transformation and Centre of Excellence (CoE) team is responsible for ensuring that Retail Technology has the strategy, provides operational and strategic transformational execution and enablement chapters, Delivery, OCM and Agility to collaboratively deliver with RBS Crews in line with the Group's strategy and vision. We continuously aim to increase our brand and reputation as a leader in technology excellence and innovation, partnering with the RBS business, Group Risk, Finance and HR and the Central Technology departments.
Your role
You will be responsible for enabling CBA's Retail Banking Services to Deliver through a Chapter demand / supply model. The chapter supports Project and Program Management of complex cross Crew and Domain initiatives, coupled with collaborative transformation to new ways of working. This role requires strategic delivery through transformational thought leadership and continuous improvement mindset. Build and maintain long-term effective stakeholder relationships so the chapter provides the right level of supply skills and experience to meet the demand of the business and that the supply is aligned to new ways of working.
You will lead the Delivery Chapter strategy and execution across the Retail Bank to continuously improve the maturity and capability of the chapter members. Be a pro-active member of the Strategy, Transformation and CoE Leadership Team, through cross-chapter initiatives and at all times making sure our chapters are aligned to enable our crews and squads to deliver for customers in the most effective and efficient way. Support the embedment of new ways of working incl. DevSecOps across Retail, through enabling mindset, behaviour, process, tools and iterative design change.
Strong judgement, decision making and problem-solving skills are key. Exceptional networking, influencing and communication skills are also essential for success in this role.
More specifically you will Lead the Retail Delivery Chapter Area, ensuring effective execution to enable successful achievement of Crew / COE objectives aligned to new ways of working.Build and effectively manage long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders and provides leadership of business change.Identifies and resolves issues and impediments with stakeholders and teams.Report on the effectiveness of the delivery discipline and leverage metrics and data to inform continuous improvement opportunities back to the broader Delivery Chapter Area and Practice.Work as a key business partner/advisor and provide responsive, effective, accurate and timely delivery advice to senior leaders and report regularly on progress and achievement of delivery chapter outcomes.Manages, inspires, motivates and gives direction to the Delivery Chapter providing visible people leadership and management, defining career options available to Chapter members.Lead a large, cross-functional Chapter Area of Delivery resources to understand, plan, manage delivery in line with waterfall and new ways of working models.Uplift Chapter maturity by fostering a culture of sharing, learning, problem solving and continuous improvement across Chapter Area.Work with Crew and/or COE leads to define the Chapter strategy and set trackable goals and KPIs that enable Crews/COEs to deliver on their strategy.Provide experienced based guidance to the team who are leading cross functional organisational delivery teams and multi-vendor teams to achieve program deliverables.Lead like an owner and ensure the chapter cost base is accurate and efficiently and effectively managed to the agreed persistent capacity plan.We're interested in hearing from experienced senior leaders with: A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior delivery management role with specific knowledge of moving from Project to Product, new ways of working and DevSecOps.Exceptional analytical and presentation skills. Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.Excellent stakeholder management and business acumen.Very organised, high attention to detail and structured.Ability and experience in challenging the norm and confidence in having hard professional conversations as part of the challenge.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives and targets to tight deadlines.
