This fulltime role will oversee areas from the Hunter to the Northern Rivers, with flexible work location options in the Hunter, Mid North Coast, or Northern Rivers regions.Lead chaplaincy efforts and guide a team to deliver effective, person-focused, spiritual, and pastoral support to customers, carers, staff, and volunteers, regardless of cultural background or faith.Be part of an organization that truly makes a difference in people's lives.About the team:The Chaplaincy Team works in partnership with the other members of BaptistCare to provide compassionate support and spiritual care to nurture the whole person.About the role:The Chaplain manager will model chaplaincy and lead a team of chaplains that provides effective, person-centred, spiritual and pastoral care to customers and their carers, staff and volunteers, irrespective of cultural background or faith tradition.Baptist Care empowers staff by offering flexible work hours, a supportive team, training opportunities and financial benefits including salary packaging and stability working for an industry-leading provider.The successful applicant will have:Essential Qualifications & Experience:Tertiary Theological qualifications (inclusive of Pastoral Care subjects) OR Pastoral Care qualifications (inclusive of Theological subjects).At least five years post-graduate experience in pastoral ministry and/or chaplaincy.Demonstrated commitment to self-nurture, self-care, professional boundaries, and professional development.Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart.Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings.Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian church.Current 'Working with Children Check'.Ability to inspire and provide pastoral and administrative leadership to a diverse team of chaplains.Ability to lead, encourage and work harmoniously with others.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Organisation, administrative and time management skills.Attentive to detail and ability to problem solve.Demonstrated financial literacy.Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.Ability to think and act strategically.A personal commitment to growth in the Christian faith.Ability to work within BaptistCare's Policies and Procedures.Ability to work within BaptistCare's Purpose and Values and willingness to promote its Christian identity.Work with and respect people from different faiths and backgrounds.Willingness to continue to learn and grow.Willingness to travel across different sites and locations.If you would like to be considered for the role, click "Apply" and please provide the following:A cover letter addressing ALL the listed essential qualifications, experience, and competencies.Updated Resume.About Us:BaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
