The Portfolio Change Stewardship Office (PCSO), within the Capability Value Realisation Centre, is an exciting and dynamic award-winning team, and the Australian Public Service (APS) Centre of Excellence in Change Management.
The PCSO is committed to building change management capability across the APS by:
Delivering high-quality services
Providing change management training and workshops
Offering coaching and mentoring by experienced change management practitioners
Developing and implementing best practice change management frameworks, tools, templates and guides
Providing specialist change management practitioners for projects across Home Affairs and ABF.
Our ideal candidate
Have demonstrated experience in the practice of Change Management and associated guiding principles. The successful candidate would ideally have relevant qualifications/experience in Change Management and would be familiar applying change management models such as PROSCI, Kotter or Lean Change.
Possess excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills and have experience in delivering training in both online and face-to-face environments.
Be self-driven, strategic in thought and passionate about building change management capability in public servants and staying up-to-date with contemporary change management practices.
A dynamic and motivated leader who enjoys working in a rapidly evolving and forward-thinking environment.
Possess strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work confidently with people from all levels of the Australian Public Service and be committed to the principles of adding value and continuous improvement.
Duties and responsibilities
Supporting the uplift of Change Management capability in public servants through Change Management training programs and workshops for a range of audiences with a strong focus on using best-practice change management approaches, principles, processes, tools and techniques.
Assist with the design and delivery of research activities and conduct data-driven analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) of PCSO service offerings, to tell a story through data and support decision making across the business.
Development of reports, executive briefs, corporate documentation in a variety of formats to provide visibility, strategic analysis, insights and advice to support change. Manage the development and maintenance of procedural instructions/manuals.
Liaise and work with key stakeholders to foster partnerships, provide strategic advice as well as manage work output and quality. Identify and manage the implementation of continuous improvement of service delivery standards to maintain viability managing stakeholder expectations.
Assist the Director, PCSO and the PCSO team as directed, including staff management, administration tasks, representing the Director at meetings where necessary and acting for the Director as required.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
