APS6 Accounts Payable - Team Leader What's in it for you? ASAP start (pending onboarding clearance) 9 month non-going Full time hours Monday to Friday Hybrid working Salary starting from $95,102 + 15.4% superannuation Centrally located Ideal candidate characteristics Have experience in supervising a team, have strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, good judgement, integrity and resilience, and a good understanding of the department's finance systems, policies, and processes. Experience in using accounting software/systems (DISR uses TechnologyOne) and a background in Finance is desirable.
Duties of the role Supervise a small team and manage and coordinate daily tasks for the team including processing of complex invoices and authorising payment runs. Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders relating to invoices, payments and payment runs. Ensure compliance to the Department's payment timeframes, including the mandated WoAG Pay on Time or Pay Interest Policy and complete late payment reporting for management review. Monitor and action relevant late payments where interest is owing and arrange payment to vendor(s). Complete and provide ANAO sample requests to the Assistant Manager. Participate and contribute to the implementation of business process improvement initiatives as they relate to Financial Services Section. Provide advice and guidance on policy and procedures and liaise with other teams across CFO Division and the greater Department. Contribute to and participate in Branch and team initiatives and programs. Please note: the successful candidate for the role must hold Australian Citizenship and Baseline Clearance.
