Privately owned mature boutique financial planning firm 2 x Offices and 3 x Senior Financial Advisers Direct Mentoring from a Senior Professional The position will suit aspiring Financial Advisers looking to take the step into a client facing role and will lead to completing a Professional Year after a settling period. The Business The business specialises in providing advice to professionals, executives, business owners and high net worth individuals. Their team is led by highly skilled advisers who each have a minimum of 15 years of experience working with clients through challenging periods, including the Global Financial Crisis. The business has the existing company structure: 2 x Offices (Brisbane and Canberra) 3 x Senior Financial Advisers (2 in Brisbane and 1 in Canberra) 3 x Support Staff (2 in Brisbane and 1 in Canberra who will be placed by this recruitment) and additional outsourced Paraplanner The Role The purpose of the role is to provide professional and proactive support to the Senior Financial Adviser to enhance client relationships and ensure they are well equipped to service their clients, whilst developing your personal confidence in client facing situations. Assist Financial Adviser(s) with client meetings and presentations Take responsibility for file notes and action items from client meetings Assist with the upkeep of Xplan and keep up to date with changes and enhancements Provide assistance to Financial Adviser support team with client paperwork, preparation of lodgements Assist Financial Adviser(s) with practice compliance requirements Review all the information received from the Financial Adviser(s) and discuss and agree the appropriate planning strategy with Financial Adviser(s) Review/prepare the SOA, submit to Financial Adviser(s) for review and make modifications as required Review/prepare relevant Financial Modelling for client situations Undertake relevant research and development of suitable asset allocation and investments to assist with client's strategy development The Person Tertiary qualified in a discipline such as financial planning, accounting Minimum 2-3 years experience in a CSM/PP support role Sound technical knowledge of current legislative, industry and corporate standards Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent client service orientation Competent with a variety of technology applications e.g. Office, XPlan, etc Self-motivated with regards to personal and professional development The Benefits You will enjoy a high degree of client facing interaction to develop your advice and relationship skills.
