Job Description: Position Purpose Are you a strong leader with a strategic mindset and a commitment to creating a safe, secure environment in a bustling retail setting? We're seeking a Security Supervisor to take charge of security at our retail site, guiding a dedicated team and setting the standard for safety and vigilance. In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for driving security initiatives, coaching and empowering your team, and ensuring that every measure aligns with our commitment to safety and customer care. Responsibilities: Reporting and Investigations: Oversee the reporting and investigation processes for security-related incidents, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution. Roster and Time Attendance Management: Efficiently manage the security team's roster and time attendance, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to rostering principles. Auditing: Conduct regular audits of security procedures, protocols, and equipment to maintain compliance and effectiveness. Training: Provide initial and ongoing training and development for security personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge in security operations for the site. Client Liaison: Work closely with the client to understand their security needs and expectations. Collaborate with the client to ensure the smooth running of operations and address any concerns or issues promptly. Attendance at Major Incidents: Respond to and manage major incidents as they occur, coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure swift resolution. Team Management and Leadership: Lead and motivate the security team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork, accountability, and professionalism. Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records across all required areas with precision and accuracy. Working hours: This role requires you to be onsite from Tuesday to Saturday. As a Security Supervisor, you'll be an outstanding communicator, facilitating seamless interactions with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in retail security management or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams, clients, and stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure. Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices. Proficiency in roster management and time attendance systems. A current Security Licence and Cert II in Security Operations. Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management desirable. Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety desirable. Certificate IV in Training & Assessment desirable. First Aid Certificate. Full working rights in Australia.
