We are seeking an experienced compliance professional who is looking for a new challenge with a growing and progressive company. Our Certification Manager will report into our General Manager and be responsible for all certification and compliance activities associated with the Pentarch Forestry Divisions in Australia and New Zealand.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position which will oversee both new and existing certification activities. You will provide the business with expertise, support and advice around certification audits and corrective actions. You will work closely with the General and Regional Managers, the People & Culture department and external certification bodies.


Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Leading and managing the external and internal certification auditing programme, ensuring it supports the key drivers and initiatives for the business.Providing development and guidance to internal audit team members as well as helping management to conduct operations in accordance with the relative wood certification standards, statutory requirements, company policies, processes and industry standards.Management of documentation and records relating to the certification management systems including forest management, chain of custody, chip testing and environmentMonitoring business performance against standards, networking, reviewing processes, issuing corrective actions, and recommending opportunities for improvement.Make recommendations to the Steering Committee on strategic certification related initiatives and assist in the ongoing development, implementation and achievement of the strategic plan.Provide regular reporting to the Certification Steering Committee summarising any performance, issues, non-conformance and corrective action activity.

To be successful in this role you will have: Previous knowledge of the forestry industry is highly regarded.Experience in the field of system certification or compliance essential.Previous knowledge in environmental compliance is desirable.Strong administrative skills including the full Microsoft Office Package is essential.The ability to liaise with and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Prior experience in managing and influencing business decisions via discussions with managers and the use of reporting.
