To foster the conversion of this research knowledge into resource management outcomes and capability in the groundwater sector.About the RoleThe Centre Manager (NCGRT) facilitates the growth of groundwater research capability and activity of Flinders University by providing high-level strategic support and management of the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training (NCGRT). This role also supports strategies to increase the number of quality research collaborations by identifying and translating key opportunities for external investment and is responsible for promoting and marketing the key research capabilities of the NCGRT and other key organisational activities related to the sustainable operation of the Centre. This is a fixed term position commencing December 2024 until June 2026, with a possibility of extension.About YouWith previous experience working in a vocational training and/or professional development environment, you will have significant experience in project management or a business development role - especially in the research field. Due to the nature of the role, it is expected that you will also have a working knowledge of groundwater research with the ability to understand, translate and communicate research performed in the Centre to a wide audience. This will mean you can demonstrate:The ability to work at a strategic level in partnership with senior managers including the ability to work with a high level of initiative and decision making.Exemplary administrative and organisational skills with the ability to follow through and complete designated tasks at a high level of quality and commitment.The ability to facilitate and coordinate the writing of complex research grant applications and attract research funding.Highly developed research communication skills in written and oral forms including public speaking.You will also have completed a degree, and be progressing towards Postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training.Our Commitment to Reconciliation and Indigenous EmploymentFlinders University is proud to be an organisation that is committed to our Reconciliation Action Plan and Indigenous Workforce Strategy.
