Centre Manager: Glenroy Hub Children's CentreWe are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Centre Manager for our newly developed state-of-the-art Glenroy Hub Children's Centre located within the Glenroy Community Hub in Glenroy. The Glenroy Hub Children's Centre is a long day care service which opened in February 2022. The Children's Centre offers long day care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age, as well as an integrated kindergarten program for 3 and 4-year-old children.About Northern Schools Early Years ClusterThe Northern Schools Early Years Cluster (NSEY) is an Early Years Management group that manages 18 early years services, including 1 Integrated long day care service, setting the highest standard of professionalism in early years education in partnership with council, community, primary schools, families, and the Department of Education and Training. Our values are Trust, Respect, Relationships, and Curiosity, and these values inform everything we do.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Centre Manager to support our new state-of-the-art Glenroy Hub Children's Centre, located within the newly developed Glenroy Community Hub and library. You could be part of a passionate team, leading the children's centre and supporting the best outcomes for the children and families in our community.This is a unique opportunity to be part of an integrated service to help shape and lead the Children's Centre within the broader community hub. The centre is licensed for 77 children, which includes 3 rooms. The Hub is a first of its kind in Glenroy, designed to provide the Glenroy community with a quality not-for-profit early years service.In addition to the Children's Centre, the Hub is also a home for:Glenroy LibraryThe Glenroy Memorial KindergartenMaternal child health servicesCo Health Community HealthA community gardenAnd much more.The Centre Manager is supported by a 2IC and works in collaboration with the management and staff team, other Hub partners to ensure that children and families benefit from the full range of opportunities within this innovative and exciting facility – such as library programs, community events, adult learning, the community garden, health services, and much more. The Hub demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, which is evident in all aspects – from the world-leading sustainable design of the building through to the practices of our teams and programs for children and families.Key Selection CriteriaTo be successful in this position, you will have:Extensive knowledge of the Education and Care Services Act and Regulations, National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework, child development, and capabilities in planning, implementing, and evaluating a quality early childhood education program.Knowledge of centre-based operational procedures, including CCS and enrolment procedures, and commitment to current reforms and trends in early childhood education and care.A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development.A commitment to inclusion and equity and cultural competency.Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with a range of community stakeholders to support best outcomes for children and families.The Northern Schools Early Years Cluster is a child safe organisation and an equal opportunity employer.
