Do you want to work for the Tasmanian Bus Association (TasBus) and be part of a sector which makes a difference to communities? We are seeking an experienced, highly passionate General Manager to provide leadership through the oversight and delivery of on-ground and strategic outcomes, whilst ensuring that our members remain our primary focus.
Working throughout Tasmania you will need exemplary communication and advocacy skills, compliance/workflow knowledge, financial acumen and the ability to implement continuous improvement to ensure value for our members.
As our preferred candidate you will have the experience to influence and introduce new ideas and strategies while maintaining awareness of economic, social and political environments as they affect TasBus and its members.

Annual salary negotiable for the right candidate Vehicle allowance Office plus occasional work from home A key leadership role An organisation that will support and value you Valid drivers licence Ability to travel in Tasmania and some interstate travel Excellent level of professional communication Ability to work autonomously Legislative and compliance expertise Key Requirements include: Act as a professional representative of TasBus Drive strategy using your skills to negotiate and influence, lead change and take an active role in connecting with members Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements Understand how to align outcomes with the Strategic Plan plus assess initiatives for expansion of revenue streams Act as a key source of knowledge to the Board, members and external stakeholders Reporting to the Board on all relevant information including: member, financial and political activities Accurate maintenance of information and employee records Define consistent data-driven information, metrics and goals Manage privacy and confidentiality of all TasBus information Provide accurate reports as required Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships within community, industry and government networks Adhere to laws and regulations, management directives and human resources policies Desirable to have, or must be able to obtain quickly: Authority to conduct accreditation audits under Tasmania's Passenger Transport Services Operator Accreditation scheme An awareness of grant funding and developing submissions Experience working with members and a Board You will work in line with the values of the Association which guide how we interact and support each other.
