The Hub Preschool and Early Education Academy is actively seeking a dynamic Early Childhood Teacher to lead our team as Director at our new Hub service at Brunker Rd Broadmeadow.
The Hub Broadmeadow will be opening early in 2025, and we are seeking an experienced Director that will be dedicated to creating new team culture and welcoming new families to The Hub.
The service is brand new with beautifully designed indoor and outdoor spaces.
The Hub currently has 5 services and is a locally owned and operated Early Childhood organisation based in Newcastle.
The Hub has a dedicated operational team to support quality programs and development at each and every service. Our Directors are part of a leadership team that meet regularly to build capacity and support within the organisation.
As a new service Director, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with families and lead a new team of educators to provide quality care and education for The Hub.
Overall position objective: The Centre Director is responsible for the implementation of operational strategies and to support the service to meet quality and financial expectations.
Broadly, the role ensures the service is operating within industry and governmental standards and regulations and systems are in place to support compliance at all levels.
This includes:
Leading and supporting centre staff for the effective operations at the service;Ensuring that the service is operating within industry and governmental standards and regulations;Developing a culture of teamwork and cooperation with all center staff and other Hub team members;Using autonomy and initiative to support best practice across all facets of operations;Developing strong relationships with children and families supported by the service;Implementing the policies and associated procedures of The Hub at all times;Working with HO team and Directors across The Hub, towards continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency in all areas of The Hub;Work in accordance with the requirements of the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010, Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;Work in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the Early Childhood Australia.We are seeking a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher OR currently studying towards your degree.
Our successful candidate must be able to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor for an Early Education service.
Also:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in managing/leading early education services.Comprehensive knowledge of the Regulatory requirements for Education and Care services.Sound knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework.Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and manage staff including evaluating performance.Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement policies and procedures.Excellent written, verbal and negotiation skills.The ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff.A demonstrated understanding of:Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting;Workplace Health and Safety issues.Working with Children Check verification number.A current and valid driver's license.Your application will include the following questions:
