Build a career you're proud of, with networking, training, and promotion opportunities.LocationErskineville, NSWWork typeFull timeWhat you'll doEnsure Centre and staff compliance with relevant and current legislation.Develop and maintain effective and professional relationships with children, families, the Early Childhood Sector, critical partners, and regulatory agencies.Support and advocate for children and family participation in the community, including those within the identified priority groups.Ensure strong management for the day-to-day operations of the Centre through regular evaluation of systems and processes, as well as management of staff rosters, staff ratios and adequate supervision.Ensure buildings are compliant with national regulatory standards and maintenance schedules are kept up to date.Who you areUniversity qualifications in Early Childhood Education, which meet the requirements to be a Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2013 and registration with NESA.Previous experience as a Centre Director with excellent pedagogical practice informed by the Early Years Learning Framework.Current Working with Children's Check (NSW) or Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT).National Police Check (less than six months old).Excellent understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the National Quality Standards, and the national assessment and rating system.Knowledge of relevant legislative documents, applicable to the Early Childhood sector.Experience in delivering inclusive and integrated services for families, particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged families.Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team with effective skills in conflict resolution and implementing performance review processes.Demonstrated ability to build constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge and experience in managing operational budgets, utilisation, and marketing strategies.Demonstrated ability to establish a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.Approved First Aid Qualification, Anaphylaxis Training and Asthma Management Training.Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification.What it's like to work with our villageWhen you join SDN, you join a village that partners with families to enrich young lives.
