The Cloud Architect will lead engagement teams to drive unparalleled customer outcomes by spearheading requirements specification, developing cloud architectures for Microsoft Azure and M365, and overseeing the end-to-end design, configuration, security, integration, and testing of cutting-edge technical solutions. This is a 12 month contract role .
What you'll do: Conducting strategic sourcing activities to meticulously identify and evaluate potential vendors against business functional and non-functional requirements. Crafting visionary enterprise-level and solution cloud platform architectures for Microsoft Azure and M365, ensuring strict adherence to whole-of-government standards. Developing comprehensive architecture guidance for cloud engineers. Actively collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate solutions in alignment with target architectures and the latest technology trends, actively contributing insights at change management forums. Offering expertise and assistance in platform automation, encompassing testing, continuous integration, and deployment. Collaborating on the creation of delivery backlogs, task sequencing, effort estimates, and project scheduling and costing for seamless project execution. Assisting in pre-sales activities by proficiently gathering requirements and developing compelling customer proposals. Championing the organisation's technology practice and methodology by contributing to the development of technical patterns, intellectual property, templates, and internal technical training. Assisting in acquiring and maintaining the requisite competencies, panel memberships, and standing with external stakeholders to propel business growth. Actively participating in coaching and professional development programs, contributing to peer reviews, and providing support to others as required. What you'll bring: Proven experience as a cloud architect, particularly with deep expertise in the subset of M365, Azure technologies stack, and DevOps. A demonstrated track record of technical leadership across both project and operational tasks. The ability to package intellectual property into frameworks, methodologies, and toolkits, enabling seamless integration across the Technology team. Proficiency in understanding DevSecOps and applying automation and governance principles to deliver state-of-the-art cloud services. Demonstrated experience in translating client needs into elegant, workable solutions, accompanied by suitably resourced, logically sequenced, and accurately costed proposals. The capability to articulate conceptual and solution architectures, as well as development approaches, with clarity and conciseness in both written and diagrammatic forms.
