We have multiple opportunities for Cellar Hand positions for the upcoming Vintage Season starting January 2025 at a popular winery, this business is an industry leading Australian global winemaking business located in the Barossa Valley.
Duties Include:
Implement and maintain compliance with the food safety and quality management system by reporting food safety hazards and quality problems as they arise
Maintain product quality throughout all cellar operations
Support and maintain compliance with all quality standards and regulatory requirements
Work with the cellar and with the winemaking team to ensure product quality and production schedules are met
To perform, continually develop and enhance cellar practices to optimise equipment, systems and personal effectiveness
Ensure all cellar operation records are filled out correctly and in full as a true representation of the operations completed
What you need:
We are searching for people who are motivated, reliable, team-oriented and passionate about a career in the wine industry.
Computer literate
Logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to prioritise tasks
Experience working in the agriculture/wine industry is an advantage, but not essential
Forklift license is an advantage, but not essential
Physically fit and able to lift up to 17.5kg
Ability to pass a pre-employment and drug & alcohol testing
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, 6 days per week
On offer are morning (7AM - 3PM), afternoon (3PM - 11PM) and night shifts (11PM - 7AM) which will progress into 12 hour Day (7AM - 7PM) and Afternoon shifts (7PM - 7AM).Please note that the vintage period will be January-May weather dependent. You must currently be living in South Australia to be considered for the position.
