About the role: We are looking for a Control Systems Lead, to collaborate with a broad team of qualified technical staff responsible for design and documentation of data centres. This role covers electrical/building management systems and will provide support in areas of commissioning and operations across ANZ. The incumbent will support procedural management and assist our Senior Manager of Operational Services in ensuring technical changes and process changes align with industry best practice.

Key responsibilities include: • Collaborate across Engineering, Facilities, and ICT groups to ensure delivery and operations of optimised data centre solutions, services and functionality, therefore facilitating growth and scalability of our core business.
• Deliver or review tender and for construction design documentation with assistance from consultants.
• Ensure all control systems architectures are designed in accordance with industry best practice method being applied for industrial controls systems adopted within critical infrastructure & utility environments.
• Assist in the new projects and upgrade activities, through lifecycle management, ensuring continual resilience and accuracy of data centre system control platforms.
• Work in collaboration with internal business verticals including Operational Site Management teams and Technology teams to ensure all generational improvement, enhancement and training deliver optimised and functional outcomes.
• Peer Review technical change requests from the site operations teams and ensure best practice and accuracy in the proposed works, approach, Method of Procedure and supporting documentation.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and point of support for all operations queries or findings that require an engineered solution or advice on best practice.
• Embrace and model CDC's DNA and Leadership Fundamentals.
• Provide cultural and operational team leadership.
• Work diversely as a key part of a small but highly professional broader CDC team to positively build upon the culture and capabilities of our collective.
• Mentor and impart knowledge to junior staff.
• Other duties as directed from time to time.
About you: • Minimum 5+ years of Data Centre or Critical Environment experience, including but not limited to, Operations, Engineering, Projects, and Consultation on scope or delivery.
• Significant exposure to Mechanical, Electrical or Security applications in previous roles.
• Experience with the development of MOP's, SOP's, EOP's and SWMS's for planned or break-fix works.
• HVAC/Electrical Trade background or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Display key personal qualities including the ability to work remotely, be a team player and exhibit excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Display a strong commitment to customer service with a focus on deliverables.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, in particular).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Essential: • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
