Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking an experienced Social Worker, Psychologist, or Senior Psychologist with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children, young people, and families. We are seeking a dedicated New Street Counsellor Level 4 to join our Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) team. This temporary full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work with children and young people aged 10-17 years who have engaged in sexually harmful behaviour, providing therapeutic interventions that support their healing, safety, and rehabilitation. You will also engage with families to strengthen relationships and promote a safer environment, all within a trauma-informed, culturally safe framework.
The New Street Counsellor will demonstrate high level clinical expertise and provide therapeutic services to children and young people aged 10-17 years who have engaged in sexually harmful behaviour. They will also provide therapeutic interventions to family members to strengthen and enhance individual and family functioning and safety. You will bring your experience and education as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Senior Psychologist, and be supported to grow and build your career through training, development, and networks within supportive and high-functioning teams. About You You must hold a degree in Social Work or Psychology, with eligibility for membership with AASW or full registration with AHPRA.
