Central Coast Local Health District is seeking an experienced Senior Clinician for headspace Gosford and Lake Haven.

This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full-time, part-time, temporary, and casual positions. This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice.
Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours; therefore, there are no claims to permanency. The Clinical Lead, in collaboration with the headspace Manager, will provide expert clinical and operational leadership and supervision to Youth Access Team staff.
The Clinical Lead is responsible for liaising and providing consultation to staff and managers of other mental and general health teams and relevant external agencies to ensure smooth pathways for clients moving across internal and external service systems.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Youth Access Team complies with professional and organisational obligations in relation to policies and procedures, risk management, and notifications in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
You will also undertake direct clinical work with young people aged 12-25 years experiencing mental health problems and accessing the headspace centres at Gosford and Lake Haven.
About You Tertiary qualifications in a mental health-related discipline: Social Worker eligible for membership of AASW; Occupational Therapist (Health Professional Level 4); Registered Nurse (Nurse Manager Level 2); Registered Senior Psychologist Yr. 1-3.Extensive experience as a clinician in the provision of mental health, child & adolescent mental health, and/or drug & alcohol services.Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a broad range of service providers e.g.

This role will rotate across the headspace Gosford and Lake Haven sites.
