Cattery And Kennel Manager - Esperance

Details of the offer

Are you passionate about animals and experienced in managing a busy, customer-facing environment?

Due to the retirement of our current Manager, we are seeking a dedicated and responsible Cattery and Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our high-quality pet boarding facility.

At Abalee, we believe furry family members deserve a safe and secure home away from home.
We know firsthand that pets miss their owners a lot while they're away, which is why we provide pets with a super cosy, warm, and friendly space for them to stay active, be themselves, and have access to their own privacy if that's what they choose.

You will work with a small team of four dedicated fellow animal lovers, receive on-the-job training, and a hand-over with the current incumbent will be provided.
You'll work an average of 20 hours per week, have flexibility through effectively managing your team, and receive $34-$35 per hour.

The successful candidate will:
Have previous experience with pets and pet care; Manage a team of four staff, ensuring they provide exceptional care for all animals; Provide a friendly and professional point of contact for pet owners, handling bookings, queries, special requests, and cash payment (all accounts receivable and payable are handled at our head office in Perth – so this is not a requirement); Oversee the care, feeding, and well-being of all pets, ensuring that all animals are safe, healthy, and comfortable during their stay; Ensure the premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times; Maintain accurate records for each pet, including medical histories, feeding schedules, and any special requirements.
Key requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in animal care or management, ideally within a kennel, cattery, or pet-related business; Leadership: Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively; Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to build positive relationships with both clients and team members; Organised: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise responsibilities; Flexibility: A willingness to work weekends or public holidays, as required in a 7-day operation.
If you are a responsible, compassionate individual looking to join a supportive and passionate team, we would love to hear from you!
