Come join our incredible Brisbane Airport team as a permanent full-time  Catering Attendant on PM shifts.
So, what does a typical day look like?
As a Catering Attendant, you're an integral member of our team, working across a range of areas to prepare all elements required to deliver a memorable dining experience for passengers onboard our airline customers flights.
To do this, you may perform a variety of roles across our kitchen, bar make up, and wash areas.
We have two main Catering sections that make up our Operations.
Each relying on the other to bring together a well timed, coordinated and fast paced production line to support the Kitchen.
Catering Attendant - Equipment, Bar & Make-Up (EMU) Afternoon & Evening Shifts Stocking airline carts with dry store items including equipment, packaged snacks, and canned / bottled beverages.
Ensure accurate count of each item and filling out paperwork for each airline cart  Restock areas to par levels for all equipment and dry goods Move the full stocked airline carts safely from one zone to the next Compliance with food safety and HACCP guidelines, and adherence to hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
Catering Attendant - (Wash) Afternoon & Evening Shifts Loading and unloading our industrial wash lines, ensuring that all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in perfect condition.
Sort all cutlery, crockery and glassware into sections and airlines Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure delivery timelines are met Compliance with safety guidelines, and adherence to hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
Attention to detail and focus on keeping accurate count Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as move and lift items.
Ability to work shift work across a 7-day roster including some weekends Ability to work PM shifts (starting Afternoons 1pm, 2pm) & (Night Shift 11pm) Neat and tidy presentation.
Knowledge of basic food hygiene and HACCP (desired but not essential).
Basic knife skills (desired but not essential).
As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check (at our cost).
Availability to work 38 hours/week, as this role is a full-time permanent position.
