Introduction:
Cater Care is seeking two seasoned Cooks or Chefs for permanent part-time opportunities at our Age Care residence in Toowoomba.
Job Description:
Excellent work-life balance! Opportunity for training and development. We pay casual loading and weekend penalty rates. Successful candidates must have open availability and be available to work 18-27 hours per week across a variety of shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Preparation of ingredients/menu - adherence to service times with consistency and quality of food product. Cooking nutritious home-style meals including breakfast, hot lunches, soup, desserts, and fresh baked morning/afternoon tea. Friendly customer service, serving meals to our residents. Setting up and clearing dining room. Washing dishes and cleaning of the kitchen and dining area. Ordering stock and monitoring food costs. Monitoring & promoting kitchen hygiene & food safety practices. Client and Resident engagement. Key Attributes Required: Previous experience assisting in all aspects of kitchen operations preferably in Aged Care. A passion for great food and customer service. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate with various stakeholders. Motivated and enthusiastic.
