For our Support Office located at Sydney International Airport, we are looking for a Category Specialist for our Liquor, Tobacco, Confectionery department. The Category Specialist in Liquor, Tobacco, Confectionery (LTC) primary responsibility is maximizing the engagement of the customer, be it through in-stock, promotion, or range. The Category Specialist contributes to the category performance against financial and KPI targets. They will collaborate and manage the mutual interests of both the Operations and Purchasing team in line with the broader commercial strategy. They are the ambassador of the category and carry the authority of how the range is represented and executed on the shop floor.
Your new job includes:Weekly/Monthly Analytical reportingComplete weekly shop visits to observe and discuss stock position, customer demographics, range, and promotional opportunitiesAssist with providing regular and timely category updates both to internal and external stakeholdersEnsures consistent high standards of customer service through ensuring the range maximizes the customer experience and is store-appropriateReviews and analyses initiatives to ensure a high level of customer service by regularly reviewing customer feedback, trends, and resultsOrganise staff incentives, brand and Visual Merchandising training and aid the Operations team to execute the brands in storeBuild and maintain relationships with vendors and coordinate vendor store visits as neededWhat you should bring along:Previous experience including category coordination, strategic planning, forecasting, and financial analysisExperience or interest in Liquor, Tobacco & Confectionery is a plusExperience in managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to build strong relationshipsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environmentExtensive product knowledge, analytical skills, and ability to identify market trendsAdvanced MS Excel, and SAP/R3 (Retail) or similar ERP systemWhat you can be excited about:Active feedback cultureAttractive employee discountsSubsidised parkingWhat's your Passion and does this sound like you?
