The role Reporting to the National Contracts Manager, you will be tasked with implementing key strategies and driving performance across your nominated category.
You will also be responsible for the following: Participating in procurement projects, to ensure timely execution and adherence to project milestones Coordinating with stakeholders to define procurement requirements, objectives, and deliverables Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and cost savings and execution across your category Management of your category including supplier management, pricing and portfolio, and revenue/margin management Negotiating favourable pricing with suppliers and implementing strategic commercial outcomes.
Researching to identify potential vendors and assess their capabilities Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards Contract management and negotiations About you To be successful in this position, you will have: Demonstrated experience in a similar position within heavy industry Proven experience in contracts, procurement, compliance and quality environments A proven understanding of advanced contracting and sourcing concepts High attention to detail, ability to analyse problems and provide appropriate solutions to mitigate commercial risk and improve value to the business Previous exposure to SAP Advanced Microsoft Office skills Benefits This company values its team members in every way possible.
