About the role
GrainCorp is currently seeking a Category Manager - Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations (MRO) to join our Procurement team in Sydney. In this critical role, you will develop and deliver the MRO procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with GrainCorp's broader business goals. You will be responsible for driving sustainable sourcing initiatives, optimizing procurement processes, and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements. Key responsibilities include:
Leading MRO category strategies aligned with business needs and sustainability goalsManaging procurement for Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations, leveraging best practices and process improvementsCollaborating closely with internal stakeholders to support business requirements and ensure successful project outcomesImplementing responsible sourcing strategies that meet environmental and ethical standardsManaging supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and performance to drive continuous improvement and cost reductionsAbout your experience
Candidates will have prior experience in a Category Manager role, ideally with a Maintenance and Operations focused portfolio. Candidates will also display:
Strong experience in MRO processes and best practicesA background in maintenance or engineeringDemonstrated experience in procurement category managementExperience with responsible sourcing and driving sustainability initiatives within procurementExcellent supplier management and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to deliver resultsQualification in procurement, engineering or a trade will be beneficialReady to apply? / How do you apply?
