Your responsibilities Developing the category plan for your three product groupsDeveloping a business case to support your strategiesManaging compliance and testing - making sure products meet industry standardsManaging pricing and marginsProduct lifecycle management and range reviewsAnalysis of sales, market data, market intelligenceMarket researchDrive new product development and negotiate and work closely with suppliers overseasYour experience A strong understanding of the electrical industry is ideal; alternative market backgrounds include those associated with commercial building automation, lighting, fire, facilities management, etc.Appropriate tertiary qualifications in marketing, electrical engineering or a trade background (one is essential, two is ideal)Previous experience managing a product range that requires compliance and testing and adhering to industry standardsOutstanding commercial skills - building a marketing plan, understanding and researching opportunities and delivering on those objectivesStrong project management skillsCustomer focusedTeam player and able to work cross-functionallyNegotiation skills – internally and with suppliers
