YOUR NEW ROLE This role undertakes the account management coordination of events at the Sydney Opera House including the assessment, acquisition, allocation, direction, control and analysis of time, finances, people, products, services, information, and other resources to achieve the objectives and agreed outcomes of the event on time and within budget across a range of events. The role also provides support and administrative assistance within the Account Management team.
The role maintains professional relationships with clients and SOH staff and contractors, providing clear and timely communication in the SOH event delivery process.
ARE YOU THE ONE? Key Responsibilities/skills:
Previous experience in theatre and event management, including company/stage/production management, skills/experience in all types of events including business/corporate, exhibitions, entertainment, festivals, government/civic, community, functions, sporting and performing arts events. Outstanding attention to detail and project management skills for managing multiple events simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines and forward planning while maintaining an overview of the integration of event projects with interconnected activity. Demonstrated organisational, time management & prioritisation skills, including an ability to multi-task. Capacity to follow direction and refer decisions to more senior staff when necessary. Strong written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills. Strategic problem-solving skills and capacity for lateral thinking. Ability to work well in a team and flexible work environment.
