We have an exceptional opportunity for a tech-savvy Category Manager to join our Consumer Electronics division within the Purchasing team! Looking after our iconic tech and consumer electronics product range, we're looking for a commercial and outcomes-focused Category Manager to continue curating our product offering, ensuring our customers benefit from the trending and most in-demand products in the market.
Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, this role will enable direct ownership of a category portfolio, developing exciting new products, partnering with suppliers, and keeping on top of market trends to provide our customers with high-quality products at unbeatable value.

In this role you'll be responsible for:Identifying commercial opportunities for category expansion including sourcing and developing new products within Consumer ElectronicsEngaging and sourcing key suppliers in World's best brand and Kogan.com's Exclusive BrandsManaging and engaging with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to build effective working relationships and achieve outcomesEnsuring the most efficient logistics, warehousing, and shipping options are chosen for each productMaximising profitability of all products, through a depth of understanding of your category and the marketBeing proactive, innovative, and striving to continually develop your category for our customersActively negotiating the best possible trading terms and pricesDrive and control price changes across our different sales channels, and contribute towards pricing reviews when requiredEnsuring timely import of products and stock management, ensuring fulfilment of customer demandActively managing and monitoring inventory levels to achieve company goals and KPIs, including planning promotional activity and actively reacting to market conditionsEnsuring revenue and profit targets are exceeded every monthMonitoring performance and completing range reviews across your category and recommending actions where necessaryPartnering with Marketing to ensure product listings are well merchandised and discoverable to support the customer journeyTo be successful in this role, you should be:University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar)Experienced with Category ownership, either a Junior Category Manager or Category Manager levelExperience within an eCommerce, Retail or FMCG environment and / or Tech & Electronics categories such as Laptops, Monitors, Tablets, Phones, Drones, Computer AccessoriesComfortable building and maintaining effective relationships, through exceptional communication and engagementHighly analytical and possess commercial nous, being able to recognise opportunity and make quick decisions for the best commercial outcomes, so that we can offer market-leading pricing to our customers.Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
